Are you a detail-oriented, self-driven tester with a passion for creating inclusive digital experiences? Qualitest looking for Accessibility Testers to join our remote team (US or Canada) to help transform how customers interact with our products. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to ensure our offerings are accessible to everyone.
Contract Details:
- Contract Rate: $70-$75/hour
- Desired Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 3 months (with potential extension to 6 months)
- Location: Remote (CST time zone preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough accessibility testing on assigned products and report WCAG violations.
- Meet and exceed productivity and quality benchmarks while demonstrating strong testing proficiency.
- Utilize various accessibility testing methods, tools, and applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle to support testing efforts.
- Work with a Testing Lead to ensure timely and accurate completion of all testing requests.
- Prioritize testing tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.
- Gain expertise in bug drafting and reporting tools.
- Implement feedback to continuously improve testing processes.
- Stay informed about evolving accessibility standards and industry trends.
- Uphold Hyatt's accessibility policies and guidelines.
- Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt's core values and continuously enhance your accessibility testing skills.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accessibility testing.
- Strong understanding of WCAG guidelines and assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, Voiceover, Talkback, & Dragon).
- Familiarity with accessibility testing tools (e.g., axe, PAC3, & CCA).
- Proven success in facilitating testing efforts across multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Strong emotional intelligence and empathy, with a passion for disability advocacy.
- Experience with JIRA or similar tools for logging and tracking bugs.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- IAAP certifications (CPACC, WAS, etc.) preferred.
- DHS v5 Trusted Tester certification preferred.
