Location: Melville, NY area. This is an onsite role 5 days a week.
Overview:
Seeking a proactive and passionate CSR Coordinator to drive and expand our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts across our operations. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in helping enhance our sustainability initiatives, support eco-design efforts, and align with global CSR strategy. This role will involve close collaboration with management, factories, and sales to ensure that we maintain our commitment to carbon reduction and eco-friendly innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
CSR Strategy Implementation:
Act as a key player in executing CSR strategy across the company.
Support and guide management in shaping long-term sustainability plans.
Collaborate with factories and central teams to align on eco-design, carbon reduction, and sustainability improvements.
Eco-design and Sustainability Initiatives:
Work closely with project managers and the global team to evaluate eco-friendly design alternatives.
Conduct or contribute to LCAs to assess environmental impact and guide product development.
Explore and propose innovative materials, technologies, and processes that reduce environmental impact.
Provide support to sales teams by responding to CSR-related queries from clients and helping present eco-design solutions.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Oversee extra-financial performance reporting by collaborating with site-level contributors and the Group’s CSR controller.
Analyze sustainability data and provide actionable insights for site and business unit (BU) leaders.
Establish, monitor, and maintain a dashboard of key CSR metrics and KPIs, presenting performance updates during reviews.
CSR Training and Advocacy:
Train internal teams on CSR policies and sustainability goals.
Promote awareness of CSR initiatives and foster a culture of sustainability across all levels of the organization.
Assist in developing client-facing material and presentations related to sustainability and CSR efforts.
Project Management:
Lead and participate in CSR-related projects that drive sustainability efforts at both the site and BU level.
Support biodiversity, waste reduction, and carbon neutrality initiatives across operations.
Track progress and outcomes of ongoing projects, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
Qualifications:
Passion for Sustainability: Strong commitment to CSR principles and an understanding of the challenges and methodologies involved in corporate sustainability.
Data-Driven Approach: Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate findings into clear, actionable strategies.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire, educate, and communicate complex sustainability issues effectively to both internal teams and clients.
Project Management: Demonstrated experience managing or supporting sustainability projects, from planning to execution.
Technical Expertise: Familiarity with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), sustainability reporting, and eco-design principles. Engineering or design background is a plus.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, project management, and global CSR teams to achieve collective goals.
