Description Woodlands Market, Marin and San Francisco's premier gourmet grocery store, has an opening for a Demo Coordinator! The Demo Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that right mix and number of demos are being conducted at all locations. The Demo Coordinator must have extensive product knowledge and be a self-starter with strong time management, verbal, and writing skills. You should also be comfortable with and excel at public speaking with a true passion for food.
- Manage all related activities for calendar events for in-store promotions
- Through a combination of scheduled vendor as well as personally worked demos, must achieve demos 7 days per week.
- Work directly with the Food Services Director, Grocery Buyer, as well as department manager/buyers to determine which demos are scheduled/worked.
- Must know the demo product extensively to relay information and answer customer questions.
- Must be outgoing and welcoming to customers passing by.
- Responsible for introducing products to customers and providing consumer product education.
- Personally, demo Woodlands made products or other vendor demos when demo personnel are not available (charge back hours should be agreed upon in this case for vendors).
- Certain demos may require preparation and cooking of product.
- Ensure that demo set-up protocol is followed such as having sufficient demo product available to purchase, proper signage, etc...
- Effectively communicate demo information updating company demo calendar and communicating directly with store employees and store management.
- Track and report sales of demoed product on the day of demo as well as 2-4 weeks following demo to gauge whether the demo was a success.
- Must be open to working weekends and working primarily mid shifts (10am-6:30pm)
