LOCATION: San Francisco Bay Area
COMMITMENT: Full-Time
Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
WHAT YOU WILL DOThe Director of Human Resources is a hands-on people leader who is both strategic and tactical. This role will oversee Human Resources for internal employees and will report to the COO. They will design and execute (a doer) while being able to think big picture. They will focus on Human Resources practices and initiatives that provide a high level of customer service to employees and help to drive a community-based culture.
Key Responsibilities
● Researches, develops, and drives Human Resources initiatives that are aligned with business goals and that are valued and trusted by the Firm
● Oversees and executes on talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation, benefits, career development, performance management, employee engagement, employee relations, and compliance
● Builds out the candidate and onboarding experience for new employees
● Creates an employee training program, goal setting, and performance management approach that develops employees and supports business initiatives
● Maintains a competitive and equitable compensation strategy, plan, and practices
● Manages employee benefits and leaves of absence programs, assessing benefit needs and trends
● Ensures legal compliance to federal, state, and local requirements across all Human Resources programs, processes, and policies
● Takes a consultative approach with leadership, providing advice and counsel that supports decision and enforces the Firm’s values
● Drives a culture of continuous feedback by up-leveling managers on coaching and providing feedback
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
● Experience building and operating a Human Resources function
● In-depth knowledge of labor law and best practices, as well as recent changes and trends in employment practices
● Strong leadership skills and the ability to demonstrate and lead on values, initiatives, and customer service
● Operational decision making and action planning that involves multi-disciplinary perspectives
● Sees the “big picture” without loss of attention to detail
● Ability to prioritize competing demands and communicate effectively with leadership
● Must be able to travel to each of the Bay Area office locations
Preferred Education and Experience
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources or Organizational Development
● 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions
● Experience with an Accounting or Financial Services Firm a plus, but not required
● SPHR Certification a plus, but not required
