About the Role & Program

Disneyland Resort Communications & Public Affairs encompasses media relations, public relations, corporate social responsibility, government relations, internal communications, and executive communications. Often working with other business units across the resort, the team strives to protect and elevate the reputation of the Disneyland Resort. This internship opportunity focuses on supporting External Affairs in the areas of community outreach, diverse stakeholder engagement, Disney VoluntEARS, and government relations!

The Corporate Social Responsibility Intern position provides experience working with a variety of different Disney partner groups, cast members, Business Resource Groups (BERGs), as well as external community leaders and organizations. We are looking for a performance-driven individual to join our dynamic team of collaborators responsible for crafting the reputation of the Disneyland Resort!

What You Will Do

  • Contribute to the development of corporate social responsibility strategies
  • Develop and devise creative visuals, including infographics, PowerPoint presentations, and more
  • Collaborate with the Public Affairs team to help ensure we tell our Disneyland story in the most innovative and creative ways
  • Build relationships with partners locally and across the company to amplify our message
  • Observe and respond to inquiries within the department’s general email inboxes and voicemail phone lines
  • Collaborate the planning, project management, and execution of external affairs programs and events
  • Assist with preparation, communication, and facilitation of Disney VoluntEARS projects
  • Support with coordinating and supporting ongoing Workforce Development activations
  • General administrative support

It would also be great if you have/are familiar with

  • Experience in CSR or community-related roles
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Familiarity with monday.com or Smartsheet  

Education

  • Seniors or graduate students studying Business Management, Marketing, Communications, Public Affairs
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the requirements below

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

  • The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025
  • This internship is located in Anaheim, CA; candidates should be receptive to providing their own transportation and housing for the duration of the internship
  • Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
  • This internship is a hybrid position - It is vital to provide a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace.
  • You are expected to work FULL-TIME hours (approximately 40 per week) during the internship.
