The Dealer Trade Driver is an on-call position. Must live in the Fairfield/Vacaville area. This person needs to be flexible and available when they are needed to drive company vehicles to transport service customers and pick up and deliver vehicles. Most importantly and without exception, the Dealer Trade Driver operates within the legal speed limits and in a safe fashion at all times. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, as assigned. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required. Ensures that vehicle identification numbers and stock numbers of each vehicle match paperwork. Ensure copies of dealer invoice accompany paperwork for each vehicle. Ensure that the vehicle being traded is clean and undamaged before leaving the lot. Greet and acknowledge every customer with a smile and friendly words. Must follow all traffic laws and company policies regarding safe driving. Able to effectively park, move and retrieve vehicles without causing damage. Pick-up and return customer vehicles from their home or office for service. Must work in all weather conditions Professional appearance and work ethic. Perform other duties as may be assigned by management. Education, Experience, and Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent. 18 years or older required. Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted driver's license. Must possess and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Visual acuity to see the distance between objects; see details of objects that are less than a few feet away, and see details of objects that are more than a few feet away. As well as see objects in very bright or very low light. Must be able to climb into and out of cars numerous times each day. Requires frequent reaching, bending, repetitive hand movements, twisting, standing, walking, sitting, squatting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift. Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions in both summer and winter. Work Environment: This position operates in a professional dealership environment. Evening and Saturday work will be required. Must maintain a clean, safe working environment at all times.
