Compensation: $81,000 - $100,000 annually

Are you an experienced Roofing Estimator with a proven track record in high-end residential roofing ? We are looking for a skilled Estimator to manage estimates for complex roof systems , including shingle , tile , and metal roofing , with intricate designs such as multi-story structures , valleys , and flat sections .

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on attention to detail and has expertise in balancing cost estimation , material sourcing , and project execution. You’ll be responsible for delivering precise estimates and collaborating closely with project teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Your key responsibilities will include analyzing blueprints , generating cost reports , and working with vendors and contractors to ensure each project stays on budget and meets customer expectations. Key Responsibilities:

• Detailed Estimations: Create comprehensive and accurate estimates for high-end residential roofing projects , including shingle , tile , and metal roofing systems with complex design elements.
  
• Analysis of Blueprints & Requirements: Analyze blueprints , requirement documents , and elevations to understand project specifics and ensure accurate estimations.
  
• Cost Influence Factors: Identify key production factors— labor , materials , and logistics —that impact cost and ensure up-to-date market pricing for all materials.
  
• Job Cost Reporting: Generate and manage job cost reports , ensuring financial accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
  
• Vendor & Contractor Relationships: Build and sustain strong relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure seamless procurement of materials and services.
  
• Collaboration with Project Managers: Conduct hand-off meetings with project managers to ensure they fully understand the project scope and estimation details, helping to facilitate smooth execution.
  
• Presentation of Estimates: Present detailed estimates to management, explaining all cost assumptions and addressing any project complexities.
  

Requirements

• Florida Roofing Experience: A minimum of 3 years of estimating experience in high-end residential roofing , with expertise in Florida-specific roofing regulations .
  
• The EDGE Estimating Software Expertise: Proficiency in The EDGE Estimating Software is essential for creating detailed and accurate estimates.
  
• Technical Knowledge of Roofing Systems: Experience with shingle , tile , and metal roofing systems , with the ability to estimate for multi-story and complex roof designs involving valleys and flat sections.
  
• Blueprint & Plan Interpretation: Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints , project plans, and builder designs to develop accurate material and cost estimates.
  
• Accuracy & Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills, with a high level of precision required to create accurate estimates and avoid budgeting errors.
  
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with project managers , contractors , and vendors .
  
• Problem-Solving: Ability to anticipate challenges and suggest proactive solutions during the estimation and project planning phases.
  
• Organizational Skills: Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks, maintaining organized workflows, and meeting strict project deadlines.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• High-End Residential Roofing Expertise: Experience working on luxury homes or complex roof systems that require detailed estimating and a deep understanding of advanced roofing assembly.
  
• Experience in Larger Companies: Ideally, candidates should have experience working for mid-sized or larger roofing companies , bringing knowledge of larger-scale operations.
  
• Experience with Premium Materials: Familiarity with sourcing and estimating high-end roofing materials .
