The Wholesale team works with our customers one-on-one, developing professional relationships based on trust and care.
GENERAL FUNCTION The Category Development Consultant (CDC) will be responsible for driving growth in key practice categories through focused initiatives and through partnering with the sales team to determine key opportunities within their defined geography. They will execute a Category Development (CD) protocol in order to achieve the sales goals assigned to the Category Development Team. In addition to assigned field activities, the CDC will be assigned corporate commercial responsibilities, as needed, that they will support to drive organizational growth. This person is an experienced sales consultant, comfortable working with major customers to develop their full practice potential focusing on a consistent, repeatable process proven to drive increased capture rate, premium brands and incremental growth in other key practice metrics.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Conduct CD training protocol for a targeted number of high potential customers within their defined territory
- The CD protocol requires the ability to deliver executive level business conversations with internal and external stakeholders. It also requires the ability to execute effective trainings that influence the behavior of all levels of an ECP's practice. It also includes the mindset of on-going maintenance and buy in to deliver sustainable growth.
- CD opportunity pipeline built through organizationally defined targets and/or through closely partnering with sales teams to identify high ROI customer opportunities
- Ability to monitor key KPIs within book of business to ensure customers maintain process adherence and growth in key categories
- Facilitate presentations and workshops around capture rate, managed vision care portfolio optimization and dispensing protocol following specific processes to drive consistent growth
- Collaborates directly with internal constituents to align the organization & customer to deliver an exceptional customer experience for mutual growth, reduces churn and ensures on-going partnership with EssilorLuxottica
- Perform ongoing business opportunity reviews with sales managers to uncover new opportunities for growth
- Attend industry tradeshows, team meetings, customer meetings and conferences as needed
- Focus on developing strong working relationships with corporate internal customers to ensure ability to maximize and deliver on opportunities with their assigned external customers
- Document in a timely and detailed manner all customer interactions, commitments and meaningful communication via company CRM system.
- Complete all requested and required administrative tasks such as expenses, monthly reports, account plans and other requests on time.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - BBA or equivalent work experience
- A strong background in eyecare industry sales
- 3-5 years in sales or consultative role
- Proficient computer and software skills
Pay Range: 101,228.37 - 165,032.28
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
