Enterra Medical, an emerging, U.S. based medical device company, markets a novel, implantable neurostimulator focused on the treatment of nausea and vomiting secondary to Gastroparesis. The Enterra Medical business was launched as an independent company in January of 2022, spinning out of Medtronic.
We are seeking a versatile HR Manager to handle all day to day aspects of the employee experience for our growing company. This role requires a self-starter with strong organizational skills and a strong interest in developing a passion for Enterra’s patient-centric mission. The role is responsible for supporting the Enterra team through recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates and showcase Enterra as an employer of choice.
- Screen resumes and conduct interviews to assess candidate suitability.
- Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including paperwork, training, and orientation.
- Foster positive employee relationships and a strong company culture.
- Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts promptly and fairly.
- Provide guidance on employee policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement performance management systems, including performance reviews and feedback sessions.
- Provide coaching and feedback to employees to improve performance.
- Identify training and development needs for employees.
- Support payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely payment of wages.
- Administer employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
- Conduct salary and compensation reviews to ensure competitiveness and fairness.
- Order and adjudicate background checks.
- Manage the employee credentialing process to ensure staff can access customer sites.
- With the help of consultants and attorneys, ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain employee records and documentation in compliance with legal requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain employee handbooks and policies.
- Assist with workplace safety and health initiatives.
- Coordinate employee training and development programs.
- Provide support for employee relations issues, such as disciplinary actions and terminations.
- Support the Enterra Medical Quality Policy and Quality System
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant HR certification(s) (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience working in a small HR team supporting the growth of a small business (<100 employees)
- Experience in Medical Technology, Healthcare Technology, Pharmaceutical, or related industry preferred
- Experience in a matrix managed environment
- Proven experience in managing all facets of the employee lifecycle
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
- Ability to build rapport, resolve conflicts, and foster positive employee relations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to identify and resolve HR issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Familiar with common HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with intricate planning strong tactical execution required.
- Ability to utilize effective influencing skills
