JOB DESCRIPTION : Audubon is currently seeking an
I E Designer to join our project team working onsite at a client's plant in Texas City, TX. The
I E Designer will perform assignments associated with designing instrument and electrical equipment, components, structures or systems.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES : Key Areas of Responsibility will include: - Working in all phases of capital projects: planning, design, construction.
- Preparing detailed design packages including drawings and deliverables.
- Spec out termination blocks, power supply, and relays for Honeywell DCS upgrade project.
- Preparing equipment specifications and bid packages.
- Modifying existing or developing new specifications to meet requirements of project scopes.
- Coordinating with other disciplines throughout design, construction and startup.
- Interpreting verbal or written direction to initiate a preliminary design.
- Checking detailed sketches and drawings for project applicability and optimal construction.
- Checking and verifying accuracy of drawings prepared by others.
- Revising lists, drawings and BOM consistency with engineering changes.
- Assisting with performing field surveys, documenting existing conditions, and/or recommending various design solutions.
- Ensuring accuracy of completed drawings before final release and verifying drawings meet company and industry standards.
- Additional duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS : The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the position: - 5+ years' of experience preferred.
- Familiar with CAD drawings.
- Understand how to read P ID and Loop Drawings.
- Motivated and willing to learn new concepts and ideas to complete the project
- Microsoft Office software experience preferred.
