Our esteemed financial firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Investment Office Manager. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our organization, overseeing and managing all financial operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), accounting, documentation, and client service. This position requires an individual who is highly organized, possesses strong leadership skills, and has a passion for the finance industry. The person in this role will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization's financial health and sustainability. Will require confidentiality and discretion. Attention to detail is important.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all aspects of the investment office, including AP, AR, accounting, and documentation.
2. Develop and implement financial strategies to enhance profitability and maintain financial stability.
3. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
4. Provide high-quality client service, addressing and resolving any financial concerns or issues.
5. Prepare and present financial reports to the executive team and stakeholders.
6. Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and procedures.
7. Train and mentor staff members on financial operations and best practices.
8. Monitor and analyze the organization's financial performance and suggest improvements.
9. Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
10. Implement strategies to mitigate financial risks.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree or equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the finance industry.
3. Proven experience in managing AP, AR, accounting, and documentation.
4. Exceptional client service skills, with the ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
5. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
6. In-depth understanding of financial regulations and accounting processes.
7. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
8. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make sound decisions.
9. Proficient in financial software - Allvue - and Microsoft Office Suite.
10. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
