Mission of the Manager of Touring

The Manager of Touring shall endeavor to help make the Futureshirts Touring & Live Events Department an easy, efficient, and effective service for our clients and fellow teammates. The MT will help build and maintain successful events, tours and activations alongside the SVP of Touring & Live Events, fellow MTs, and Tour Dept staff at Futureshirts. The MT will help oversee in the day-to-day management of tours and touring logistics leading to a successful 360&degree; merchandise experience for Futureshirts clients, teammates and ultimately event patrons. The MT is a critical thinker, proficient operator, and multi-tasker in all things touring. The Manager of Touring is an individual that can take on emergencies with care, consideration and a sense of urgency. This individual appreciates that working after “business” hours scenarios can exist, and understands, as well as appreciates, the many intricacies of the Live Entertainment Business. The job of the MT is ALWAYS DELIVER for all live events. The role requires an extreme focus on accountability, kindness, and passion for MERCH in order to delight our clients and turn them into champions of FS. The Manager of Touring shall continuously evaluate the service provided and strive to make it better.

Requirements:


General Duties:

  • Manage and Assist with all things Touring & Live Events related to ensure full-service experience to Futureshirts clients
  • Manage all tour forecasting and inventory orders, warehouse inventory and road inventory
  • Perform tours pulls and shipments as needed
  • Manage the touring road staff and maintain daily action plans together
  • Manage touring logistics from factory to fans
  • Maintain proper road accounting for assigned tours
  • Travel to live events on occasion
  • Align with production team and account managers to help launch and operate tours successfully
  • Work alongside account managers and production in product development process
  • Ensure on-site presentation standards are met at all events
  • Manage tour customer service situations as needed
  • Understand without a doubt that you must ALWAYS DELIVER
  • Have passion for trend knowledge, trend history and future trends
  • Deliver product to clients locally if necessary
  • Manage international tour production and logistics
  • Hire “local” vendors, adjust merch contract if negotiable (invite venue or artist to sell)
  • Retrieve settlements, cash from venues and road managers
  • Train each representative to follow FS operations & regulations
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized warehouse
  • Assist the Director of Touring as needed

  • Offer trend knowledge and assist in product line development with account managars
  • Regularly meet with full-service team and clients to ensure needs are being met
  • Evaluate, update and streamline the tour process for clients

Special Requirements/Preferences:

  • 3+ Years of experience in touring merchandise
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills.
  • AtVenu tour, warehousing, reports and settlement knowledge
  • Comfortable with fast paced work environment requiring strong multitasking skills, excellent time management and organizational skills with a high attention to detail and follow up.
  • Not afraid of working after ‘business’ hours if necessary
  • Strategic and creative thinker
  • Results oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to work under pressure with a professional sense of urgency and care
  • Communicates effectively and meets deadlines. Ability to travel to tour launches and high priority events
