\nEducation: Social Work: MSW License: LICSW in the state of MA (or equivalent independent licensure in Social Work in the state in which services are being provided. Skills: \n- Broad range of clinical skills including psychiatric assessment, capacity to formulate a case and develop a therapeutic alliance, and plan treatment and aftercare. \n- Crisis stabilization. \n- Family support and intervention. \n- Clinical privileges or eligibility for privileges in his/her discipline in individual, family and couples' treatment. \n- Familiarity with the discharge planning process as well as community resources, public service delivery systems \n- and consumer entitlement programs. \n- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. \n- Ability to work collaboratively within a rapidly changing system of care. \n- Familiarity with computerized clinical data bases. \n- Capacity to function independently in clinical decision making. \nExperience. • A minimum of two years post degree experience orequivalent in an inpatient, partial, or outpatient setting. • Experience in providing a range of clinical services including assessment, treatment and discharge planning. • Experience in a managed care environment and the capacity to work collaboratively with managed care organizations. • Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary staff both within the Hospital and the community at large. \n\nMcLean's Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is recruiting LICSWs for our new Child Partial Hospital Program--a new program for 7-13 year olds struggling with irritability, suicide, and self-injury. \nThis program is a unique "collaboratory"--striving to provide evidence-based therapy and medication management--while also catalyzing new research about these 3 problems--to improve care and outcomes. LICSWs are a critical part of this multi-disciplinary team in this novel and important program. The Clinical Team Manager (CTM), LICSW works in a a Partial program and is accountable/responsible for the day-to-day treatment, management, disposition, and aftercare plan for their assigned patients with particular attention to taking responsibility for the prudent use of clinical resources. The CTM is a key member of the interdisciplinary team, providing effective care including clinical evaluation, intervention and planning for patients with complex psychosocial risks. The position requires flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills with internal and external customers and colleagues, and clinical experience with children and/or adolescents. Experience in the delivery of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is strongly preferred. The CTM should have the ability to function independently and to provide clinical supervision to other staff. CTM positions may also require being on call to the program. \nRESPONSIBILITIES AND STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE Responsibility CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES \n\n1. P\nrovide ongoing assessment and formulation of the patient's needs in order to update the patient's plan of care. Responsible for the timely completion of Treatment Plan and other medical record documents that will satisfy clinical, regulatory and payor requirements. Provide clinical services to patients as appropriate, according to the age and acuity of the patient. Provide clinical services to family members, as indicated. \nWeight 30% \n\n2. C\noordinate the delivery of services by thepatient's multidisciplinary treatment team including those who are external to the McLean program. \nWeight 10% \n\n3. A\nct as primary liaison with family and significant others, referrers and community agencies and professionals to develop a timely and comprehensive discharge plan that includes access to services for patients and, where appropriate, family members. \nWeight 20% ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS \n\n4. C\nollaborate with the hospital-based Utilization Management department and external managed care reviewers to manage the patient's care in a manner that is both clinically and fiscally sound. \nWeight 10% \n\n5. E\nnsure the timely completion of all documentation and other required paperwork needed to facilitate patient care and billing (e.g., treatment plans, attachment notes, progress notes, signed releases, detach summaries, encounter forms, etc.). \nWeight 20% OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES \n\n6. D\nemonstrate a commitment to his/her professional growth and competency in order to enhance patientcare and job performance. \nWeight 5% \n\n7. C\nontribute to the efficient operation of the program, the hospital and, where appropriate, his/her clinical department through team work, cooperation and participation in problem solving activities. \nWeight 5%
