Description The Pipeline Engineer will be responsible for pipeline engineering and consulting services for clients across the U.S. Main responsibilities include leading others in creating pipeline and facility design deliverables. Projects range in size and complexity from small utility pipelines and regulator station upgrades to large pipeline projects. The Pipeline Engineer will be responsible for contributing to the technical aspects of projects that include design, hydraulic analysis and reports, planning and project coordination. This position can influence the growth and success of our pipeline expertise.
The individual will be accountable for developing, reviewing and analyzing project estimates, schedules, cost reports and providing total cost management on multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
Work is closely managed and reviewed for accuracy and adequacy. Follows specific, outlined, and detailed directions.
Provides resolution to problems that are readily identifiable with limited scope and are resolved in accordance with standard practices, procedures, applications or routines.
Problem/Task resolution timeframe: The majority of tasks typically take one to two days to resolve.
Contacts are primarily with direct supervisors and others in group or department to give and receive information.

Pipeline Engineer Intern
- Works closely with a member of the team to enhance knowledge and skillset.
- Learns and implements the Company's Best Practices for projects and processes.
- Assist on simple pipeline engineer concepts with oversight from a mentor.
Pipeline Engineer IV
- Works closely with member of the team and assist to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Implements and utilizes the Company's Best Practices for projects and processes.
- Working knowledge of project engineering and development.
Pipeline Engineer III
- Provide support and assistance with Company business development efforts.
- Pipeline facility design (metering and regulating stations, storage field upgrades, and compressor stations) including plans, sections, and details and associated bill of materials.
- Interact and provide technical support with survey, permitting, environmental, construction management, and ROW acquisition.
Pipeline Engineer II
- Provide technical support during construction using experience in applicable industry codes and regulations such as ASME B31.4 and ASME B31.8, CFR 192 and 195, CSA Z662, etc.
- Participate in the development of technical specifications for materials and construction and assist in development of Total Installed Cost estimates.
- Perform hydraulic analysis (liquid and gas) with industry standard software/Surge analysis and associated report with recommendations capability required.
Pipeline Engineer I
- Execute the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for the assigned project elements and monitor progress to maintain schedules and budgets as you coordinate and work with other disciplines, project managers and directly with our clients.
- Assist in the development of class location studies, hydrostatic test schematics, pipe stress calculations, mainline valve spacing, hydraulic calculations/modeling, alignment sheets and site-specific drawings or plans (i.e. road crossings, railroad crossings).
Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PER JOB LEVEL - Pipeline Engineer Intern - Junior or Senior in University or College.
- Pipeline Engineer IV - Bachelor's Degree
- Pipeline Engineer III - Bachelor's Degree; two (2) years of experience.
- Pipeline Engineer II - Bachelor's Degree; four (4) years of experience.
- Pipeline Engineer I - Bachelor's Degree; FE or 8 years of experience; six (6) years of experience.
