About the Role
The Company is seeking a President to lead its mission of advancing narratives that promote a multiracial democracy and combat systemic racism and white supremacy. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, managing the organization's operations, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and responsiveness. This role requires a leader with a proven track record in multicultural environments, strong management and financial skills, and the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team. The President will also be tasked with overseeing the organization's programs, ensuring their alignment with the mission, and developing new initiatives for impact and sustainability. A key aspect of the position is resource development, including fundraising and donor relationship management, as well as building and maintaining strong partnerships with the Board of Directors and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate for President at the company will have a strong background in communications and multimedia, with a focus on social justice. They should be a talented fundraiser, a skilled communicator, and a visionary leader with the ability to adapt to emerging trends in digital media and social justice communications. In addition, the President should have an inclusive management style, be adept at talent management, and be committed to enhancing the organization's visibility through targeted marketing and branding. The role demands a proactive, positive attitude, a commitment to organizational effectiveness, and the ability to address challenges with a sense of humor and emotional maturity. The President will be expected to have an exemplary reputation in the field and to serve as a prominent spokesperson, representing the organization to a wide range of stakeholders, including advocates, artists, faith leaders, and policymakers.
