TAI is seeking a talented Release Manager responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive release management strategy that includes an automated release framework for our reinsurance software portfolio. In addition, this role will be responsible for providing project and release level quality, schedules, plans, and best practices to strengthen and improve existing release infrastructure and processes at TAI.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ownership of TAI's release framework and strategy. Developing and implementing a comprehensive release management strategy that includes an automated release framework for our reinsurance software portfolio Integrate the release processes into the overall software methodology. Set and track progress of development and testing schedules, within aggressive "time-to-market" driven project environments, sometimes across parallel projects. Interface with developers, quality assurance analysts, and business analysts to identify and prioritize areas for significant efficiency gains. Apply a risk management approach to determine a highly business focused, well organized, and comprehensive test and release strategy for assigned projects and application regression. Regularly summarize progress to milestones and areas of risk; and propose and execute mitigation strategies. Analyze, track, and report on application issues and maintain documentation on project issues and defect metrics. Collaborate with internal and external teams on release schedules and go to market schedules. Ability to assist, mentor, and guide team members. Delegate work to team members and monitor team member performance, coach, and mentor team members. Demonstrate leadership through the ability to comprehend our customers' needs and diffuse their concerns using strong insurance industry knowledge, a high level of focus and attention to detail. Maintains regular and predictable attendance. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required: 7+ years of overall software quality assurance and product development experience, with exposure to the full software development lifecycle -- from requirements through post-release. Capable of delivering, managing, and tracking project testing/release schedules as the sole resource on a project team, Possesses solid organizational and time management skills. Excellent troubleshooting ability. Experience or exposure to Agile/SCRUM is a plus. Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion. 2+ years of experience on testing via RDBMS. Strong team player with a "can-do" attitude. Experience mentoring and training more junior professionals on both technical and release process topics. Experience driving and participating in software development / testing process improvement initiatives. Bachelor's degree in computer science/Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience. Skills and Certifications: PMP, Six Sigma, CMMI, or related. Preferred: Experience in the Insurance and /or Reinsurance industry. LOMA certifications.

Willingness to deploy to the field for up to one week at a time on rare occasions. Ability and drive to deliver on time, while working in a semi-autonomous environment. Ability to create and communicate an accurate schedule. Insatiable curiosity to understand and improve the state of art. Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and provides understanding of project related information to a diverse audience (engineers to executives). Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Compensation Range: $84,860.00 - $128,110.00 Annual Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan.
