Sodexo is seeking an experienced  Restaurant Manager / Food Court Manager (Retail Manager 3) for South Dakota University Dining in Brookings, SD – an hour from Sioux Falls. South Dakota is a great place to live. Home to Mt. Rushmore and the  Badlands , the state has a diverse landscape with rolling plains, canyons, lakes, and the  Missouri river flowing through its center. This Hands-On Retail Manager  will oversee multiple food venues, cafe's, grills, including National Branded concepts (ie, Starbucks, Einstein Bagels, etc), Our large and complex account hosts excellent opportunities for learning and career growth experiences. The Retail Manager will provide leadership for our high level supervisors who oversee each retail location. 

 

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

• 3 – 5 years restaurant management experience in National Branded Food concepts (ie: Chick-Fil-A, Einstein Bagels, Starbucks, etc), or background in large restaurant or other food concepts;
• have a work history in Food Retail management demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization;
• possess the ability to manage multiple priorities and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service;
• demonstrate working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems as well as menu graphics programs.

 

Are You the One? The successful candidate will:

• motivate, coach, mentor and develop managers and frontline (hourly-paid);
• oversee cash handing processes, and POS programming and maintenance;
• ensure company food and physical safety programs and standards are followed;
• maintain integrity of retail branded concept standards (national and in-house brands); and
• maintain all product merchandising, marketing and ordering standards are in place.

Qualifications & Requirements:
