Job Description
Due to significant growth, Kearney & Company is currently seeking a Senior Analyst to join our remote on-site team supporting an engagement based out of in Dayton, OH. We are looking for a Senior Analyst who can apply technical expertise and skills in support of an Internal Controls project. The Senior Analyst position will be responsible for performing procedures such as document gathering, data analysis, and assisting with preparation of deliverables as assigned under the supervision of their team lead.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Implement an internal control strategy that complies with professional standards and appropriately addresses risks
- Perform and document business process internal control assessments (i.e., tests of design and effectiveness)
- Facilitate internal control walk-throughs and document the outcome
- Identify and implement operational efficiencies
- Develop Corrective Action Plans (CAPS)
- Understand the client’s industry and recognize key performance drivers, business trends and industry developments
- Assists in drafting and preparing project deliverables
- Perform audit support tasks, as required
- Collaborate to plan engagement objectives, actions, and status reporting.
Qualifications - BA/BA degree from an accredited college/university with a focus/concentration in Accounting or Business Administration with a major in Accounting, Accounting and Information Systems, Computer Science, or Information Technology with accounting classes
- At least 3 years of auditing, information technology, and/or equivalent experience
- Demonstrate awareness and knowledge of Federal Government’s financial and management responsibilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with NIST SPs and/or FISCAM
- CPA and/or CISA candidate, or eligibility to sit for CPA certification
- Ability to obtain and maintain an interim U.S. Secret (or higher, such as Top Secret or TS/SCI) security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship)
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working on a financial statement audit, FISMA, SOC, and/or SOX/ERM/A-123 engagement
- Experience working with Federl Government and/or DoD clients

The expected salary range for this position is between $66,000 and $95,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
