JOB SUMMARY: The Reservoir Engineer provides technical and functional expertise to effectively and efficiently maximize the deliverability and operability of the company's Gas storage assets. This is achieved through detailed analysis, evaluation, monitoring, and continuous enhancement of existing reservoir, well, and ancillary facilities for all assets. This role will also perform critical design, planning, and execution functions for all new storage assets in the Underground Storage System (UGS)
Functional Expertise • Substantial understanding of fundamental principles of underground natural gas storage.
• Develop and lead utilization of analytical models and tools to determine and optimize underground storage assets.
• Conduct and supervise reservoir and individual well analysis of storage assets to predict, monitor, and manage reservoir performance.
• Perform, review, and supervise reservoir studies to track reservoir performance as compared to predicted performance - develop optimal schedules and forecasts of individual reservoir deliverability.
Responsibilities • Substantial proficiency in well design and work over activities.
• Work closely with field staff and other engineering disciplines to identify and carry out remedial opportunities on wells and associated facilities.
• Identify work over/recompletion, stimulation, and integrity investigation candidates.
• Prepare/Review detailed procedures and AFE cost estimates for rig work over, routine well work, and logging activities.
• Supervise well work over field activities.
Business Acumen / Engagement • Develop and execute projects and some programs with the department.
• Provide due diligence analysis on operational scenarios with little direction.
• Participate in and consistently provide clear recommendations in design/analysis discussions.
• Drive economic analysis in supporting operations.
• Interfaces well within the department and storage operations, as well as across the enterprise.
• Communicates with external counterparties on the details of the project specifics (capacity, deliverability, etc.).
• Conduct and lead the initial engineering analysis, modeling, design, and costing of subsurface facilities for proposed projects / acquisitions.
• Work with locations to efficiently run storage facilities / key stakeholder during critical operating periods.
Specific Skills / Knowledge - Substantial understanding of reservoir analysis and well design.
- Proficient understanding of reservoir modeling.
- Familiarity with industry software (Petrel, Well view, etc.).
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet aggressive deadlines
- Workovers-prefer Rig experience verses just planning the project

Levels of Expertise • Substantial - Performs all routine and moderately complex reservoir engineering activities.
• On moderately complex activities, requires little supervision and direction.
Minimum Education or Experience Requirements - 5+ years' experience as practicing Reservoir Engineer
- BS in Petroleum or Geological Engineering
- MS or MBA preferred
