ALL ABOUT ASSETS PROTECTION Assets Protection (AP) teams function to keep our guests, team, and brand safe and secure and lead through crisis events. They protect profitable sales by mitigating shortage risks, preventing, investigating, and resolving theft and fraud to ensure product is available for our guests. As a Target Security Specialist, you will gain: Skills using intelligence-led tactics to keep team members and guests safe and secure Experience in crisis response, safety, and crowd management Skills in de-escalation and recovering stolen merchandise Ability to utilize Target's video surveillance system Ability to document cases using industry case management systems Typical Responsibilities: Support sales by welcoming and engaging guests and team members Lead a physical security culture by assessing and maintaining safe standards Respond to and document security incidents Understand and leverage escalation tools for guest issues Conduct merchandise recoveries and provide apprehension support Prevent theft by performing receipt checks for high-dollar merchandise Submit documentation for all incidents following AP policy Understand and use the video system appropriately Model safety while maintaining a clean store Provide service and a shopping experience that meets guest needs Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance Work safely and identify hazards Perform other duties based on business needs WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR We might be a great match if: You enjoy working in a fun and energetic environment You love providing exceptional service to guests You are excited about stocking, setting, and selling Target products You prefer a dynamic job rather than a typical office role Skills Required: Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma or equivalent Meet any state or local licensure requirements Welcoming attitude towards guests and team members Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate technology Effective communication skills Work both independently and with a team Manage workload and prioritize tasks Remain focused in a fast-paced environment Additional Expectations: Climb up and down ladders Apprehend subjects per company policy Efficiently handle and move merchandise, lifting up to 40 pounds Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions Remain mobile for the duration of a shift Find competitive benefits from financial and education to well-being and beyond at Target Benefits .
