Job summary:

As a Principal Data Scientist, you will lead innovative data science projects and teams, using your expertise in machine learning, particularly Time Series, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs), to develop scalable, ethical solutions that transform customer interactions with their finances.

About the Team:
Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.

What you'll do:

• Lead and mentor data science teams, ensuring projects align with business objectives and deliver significant value.
• Spearhead data acquisition and analysis efforts, employing diverse tools and techniques for engineering projects. Develop and implement machine learning frameworks and best practices to create scalable and ethical AI solutions.
• Oversee and review data analysis and modeling techniques, guiding projects to meet objectives and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products, translating complex data science work into actionable business goals

What you'll bring:

• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with experience guiding data science teams and projects.
• Deep expertise in Time Series, NLP, and LLMs, with a track record of developing scalable and ethical solutions.
• Proficiency in a variety of technologies, including Pytorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, and VectorDBs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business insights.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster partnerships and drive IP improvements in machine learning

The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00-$264,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...
