Associate Litigation Attorney - Remote / Work from Home (WFH)

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year + Bonuses

Employment Type: Full-Time

Osman & Smay LLC is a small plaintiffs employment law firm dedicated to handling discrimination cases and providing exceptional legal services to our clients. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Entry Level Lawyer with 0-3 years of experience to join our dynamic team. We offer training to ensure new lawyers are well-prepared to handle the caseload.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in handling employment law cases, including litigation, counseling, and compliance matters, with a focus on discrimination cases
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Provide sound legal advice and develop strategies for resolving client issues
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Participate in client meetings and case strategy discussions
• Stay updated with the latest developments in employment law

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in a reciprocal jurisdiction of Kansas and/or Missouri. KS & MO license preferred.
• 0-3 years of experience in active legal practice
• Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise documents
• Good judgment and analytical skills in assessing issues
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
