Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Review high-volume files, as assigned, in order to determine appropriate course of action.
- Independently prepare high-volume of correspondence within assigned timeframes and consistent with PLA standards.
- Understand and follow office policies to ensure compliance.
- Establish a level of proficiency on client nuances.
- Answer and return telephone calls from property owners, negotiate payment plan terms and make recommendations for hardship consideration consistent with PLA
- Attendance at work is an essential function of this position
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Must be able to work independently
- Continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials as well as establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent organization, prioritization and time management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Initiative, including strong follow-up skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team while maintaining professional working relationships with a diverse group of individuals.
- Ability to work over-time as mandated.
- Receptive to feedback at all levels.
- Must demonstrate skills of poise, diplomacy and tact.
- PC Proficient: Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), Internet, and ability to learn Collection Partner (Hubbard).
- Dependable, with strong work ethic and personal integrity.
Education and/or Experience - B.A/B.S from an accredited university. In the absence of a B.A./B.S, one (1) to three (3) years work experience in collections is required.
