TITLE: Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Plant Manager

EMPLOYMENT: Full Time, Salaried 

BUSINESS UNIT: Nopetro Energy Renewables

REPORTING TO: RNG Project Manager

HOURS OF WORK: 40-hour week base

LOCATION: Vero Beach, FL 

We are seeking for a Plant Manager RNG to manage the RNG (Renewable Natural Gas) overall plant operations, including all production and ensuring all employees strive to meet the standards set forth by the company for Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Preventative Maintenance, and Housekeeping. They will be the lead person onsite providing both technical and operational direction to the plant personnel as well as interacting with the host landfill, regulatory agencies, and customers. The Plant Manager will be responsible for achieving plant operational metrics. 

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY 

  • Manage the RNG plant 

  • Confirm that all plant data tracking and log requirements are completed
    in a timely manner. 

  • Prepare and submit monthly operational reports.

  • Ensure that the site is running within Health & Safety regulations & in compliance with all permits. 

  • Execute all Nopetro safety training and ensure that all safety processes are adhered to. 

  • Monitor the site employee performance, time and attendance, time sheets and overtime. 

  • Work with the landfill operations to maximize gas collection and comply with regulatory standards. 

  • Develop communication protocols with the landfill. 

  • Direct site meetings as required (operations and safety meetings). 

  • Comply with all Nopetro workplace, federal, state and OSHA safety guidelines and obligations as well as all relevant compliance obligations related to environmental protection. 

  • Ensure that the RNG plant is running at full potential while minimizing direct costs. 

  • Augment staff to both manager and complete work tasks as needed at the sites. 

  • Assist in developing budgets and ensuring adherence to same. 

  • Lead the implementation of safety and emergency procedures associated with the site. 

  • Always communicate with stakeholders in a friendly and professional manner. 

  • Operate gas processing equipment and all associated auxiliary equipment. 

  • Operate instrumentation and process control systems. 

  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance of fixed plant, compressors, media vessels
    and associated equipment.

  • Undertake electrical and mechanical fault-finding, repairs, and reporting. 

  • Ensure good maintenance and housekeeping practices are adhered to. 

  • Ensure routine housekeeping duties to a high standard of cleanliness.

  • Schedule daily activities, delegate work tasks to team members and supervise the
    completion and quality of the tasks. 

  • Arrange for outside third-party assistance when required and manage and oversee
    any third-party contractors working onsite. 

  • Lead communication with Landfill staff. 

  • Other duties as assigned from time to time by the Company.

    High level of analytical & trouble shooting skills in both the gas plant & the well field.

  • Proficient using computers and monitoring equipment to measure, record
    and adjust within operating parameters. 

  • Knowledge and understanding of basic chemistry principals. 

  • Ability to review, prepare and discuss results of production reports and P&L statements. 

  • Able to understand to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions. 

  • Ability to work autonomously in a multi-skilled work team environment. 

  • Responsible, reliable and committed to achieving Company and team goals/objectives. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Technical degree or 5+ years of relevant experience. Bachelor's degree and/or three or more years as a plant manager in a similar industry or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 

  • Prior supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with industrial gases. 

  • Experience with setting and adhering to site budgets and understanding of basic accounting principles. 

  • Experience with setting site maintenance schedules. 

  • Experience with establishing work schedules and, assignments for site personnel. 

  • Experience adhering to OSHA and safety responsibilities and requirements. 

  • Experience with environmental and site compliance regulations. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

  • Ability to read, write, listen and communicate adequately to complete job duties and responsibilities. 

  • Must be able to see adequately to effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers to complete job duties and responsibilities. 

  • The job is physical in nature requiring the ability to stand, sit, bend, push, pull, squat, stoop, twist, turn, crawl, climb and work in unusual positions requiring full body mobility for extended periods of time. 

  • Inside conditions: Protection from weather but not necessarily from temperature change. 

  • Extreme heat: Temperatures above 90 degrees for periods of more than one hour. 

  • Hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions (proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, exposure to heat and / or chemicals. 

  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds. Work is typically performed during regular business hours with occasional travel by automobile to work nights, holidays and weekends.
